Choosing Your Frames

At Optical People, we have possibly the largest selection of frames available on the Highstreet. Whatever your style, budget, or face shape, come and have a browse around our town centre store, our friendly optical staff will be on hand to provide any advice or answer your questions.

How should your frames fit your face?

What does a perfect-fitting pair of glasses feel or look like? You shouldn’t be getting small aches around your ears and marks on the sides of your nose if your glasses fit properly as this would indicate that they’re fitting a little too tight. The width of the frame shouldn’t be much wider than your cheekbones or certainly the temples, to ensure the frames are flattering to your face. There are a few other things you should look at when choosing the right fit:

  • Proper bridge design and position are very important for a well-fitting pair of glasses. Don’t worry, our well trained staff will help you to ensure a good fit.
  • The top of your frames should be no higher than the line of your eyebrows
  • The lower edge of the frames shouldn’t sit on your cheeks otherwise they will start to rub against your skin and can also cause the lenses to steam up

We Have The Largest Selection Of Frames

We’ve got hundreds of frames to suit all shapes, tastes and pockets! Plus, we add new styles every month, so you’ll be spoilt for choice. Pop in to the store and browse our vast range – our frame stylists will be happy to help you find your perfect frames.
