Health and safety legislation and display screen regulations (1992) stipulate organisations are responsible for the welfare of their employees, including their eyesight.
If employees use computer screens continuously for an hour or more each day (DSE Users), the employer must provide a regular full eye examination and if required, glasses for DSE use.
Employees working in hazardous environments are required to have appropriate protective eyewear (PPE) provided. And if your employees use vehicles to perform their job, the employer is obligated to ensure the driver is fit to drive.
Our workplace eye health plans can help you ensure your legal requirements are met, whilst offering a highly valued supplement to your employee benefits scheme.
The type of work your employees carry out and for how long will determine whether you must provide eye tests and prescription or safety eyewear.
Increasingly however, employers are realising that looking after their employees’ health brings huge benefits to their business. The Optical People workplace eye health programme will help your team members to maintain good eye health and offer them the peace of mind that long term eye care brings.
If you need a Workplace Eye health scheme to cover your employees eyecare needs, our “easy-to-manage” plans enable your employees to benefit from some very special offers, in addition to a range of vital optical services.
Here at Optical People we prefer to keep things straight forward. When looking around, we found other schemes to be arduous and complicated – so we decided our system should be as frictionless and easy as possible so you can get on with running your business.
Please feel free to get in touch with any questions or if you have any special requirements not mentioned on this page. Use our form here to provide some basic information about yourselves and we’ll get straight back to you.
